Chloroform Days - Cammy's journal from the end of the Multiverse

Scenes from the 'Gap
October 12, 2026

We took an impromptu trip across the Delaware Water Gap the other day to peek at some of the changing foliage. We're not at peak leaf-changing times just yet, but we're not far off at all. There's a cool pedestrian bridge as part of the Liberty-Water Gap Trail where half lies in Portland, Pennsylvania and half lies in Knowlton Township, New Jersey. They have the split marked on the bridge and everything. These were just taken with my phone—as implied, I didn't bring any of my retro digicams Read more

Scenes from the 'zilla

A bit of real life seasonal fun for you all: I completed a corn maze yesterday! How such a thing could be "completed", you might wonder? There's a really popular local seasonal attraction called Mazezilla where they cut themed maze designs into their cornfields every year, and you get a card and are tasked with going and finding all the stations in it, each having a unique shaped hole punch for your card as proof. I'm happy to report that, for my first time ever doing it, we completed the card Read more

And now for something better
July 31, 2026

I was pretty shaken up after all the flight troubles a week and a half ago. For a few days, I did wonder if coming back to Cardiff for a little while longer was the right move, but it's been good and I'm pretty alright with how it all went down now. Of course, I always enjoy a little more time with my Caby, but more than anything, I'm just happy to have left vacation mode. I've spent enough money and eaten enough fast food—let's just stay in and draw for a bit. To dust off the journal in prep Read more

Mail day from Poland!
July 09, 2026

I'm about a week late on this, but out of the blue, Devon mailed me some old tech! Devon was in Somnolescent not too long ago, but it became a fairly acrimonious split and it bummed all of us out in the end. She reached out to me about two weeks ago with an offer, though—to send me, while I'm still in Europe and thus while it's still a hell of a lot cheaper, a working Wacom Intuos 1 (from 1998!). A digital camera I'd never heard of with a still working website called the Mustek MDC 3000, which Read more

2024 trip diary is now up!
June 10, 2026

Been a bit, journal people! Honestly, I suspect this might start going dormant more often going forwards—I'd rather be doing things or relaxing than constantly updating a journal, honestly, especially when I have other places to post updates and I just have less to show off these days. I'm pretty happy with all my projects and I'm really looking forward to going back into the real world and being a productive member of society again. I don't think that's a bad thing, though, if it's only once Read more

Departure day 2026
May 10, 2026

Not gotten any better at updating this thing, and it's not looking promising for two months in Wales (though maybe!). It's not that I haven't been in a really great mood, I think I'm just realizing how much infrastructure I've built and sometimes I get tired of maintaining it. You'll live. Only I read this anyway. Leaving for the airport in a few hours! I'm really not concerned, I've done this a few times, but my mom always insists I overpack or take only my nicest stuff. She cares, it's fair. Read more

Flooding the market: day 28
April 13, 2026

When I last wrote about my used game sale extravaganza, I was recently left on read by two different game resellers about my big lots of retro games and had realized I was just gonna have to list it all myself. I'm supremely pleased to report that, as of a half hour, they've all gone! There were five lots of games for sale, Genesis, NES, Wii, PS2, and GBA, and they are all either mailed off or will be mailed off tomorrow. The NES games were what I was most wary about being able to move, given Read more

Flooding the market: day fourteen
March 30, 2026

Game selling expedition is still ongoing. At this point, most of the loose stuff has sold, and I'm slowly getting eBay's payouts from it. Hilariously, eBay really wants me to use their expedited payment system so they can skim a little more off the top—no thanks. You can deposit it into my checking in one to three business days like God intended. This leaves, uh, most of it. My DS and 3DS stuff was valuable enough to mostly go individually, but I've still got my GB/GBA games, the rest of the Read more

Flooding the market: day five
March 21, 2026

Update on the game selling expedition I started earlier in the week! Games are already starting to fly out of my house. I've been listing GBA and DS stuff on eBay to great success. I try to be real thorough with my photos, everything someone would be looking for to avoid bootlegs shown clearly, checking sites to see what games are going for and trying to price them accordingly or slightly lower than the going rate, and it works! People think they're getting a good deal on a game in very nice Read more

Flooding the market: day one
March 16, 2026

(Brief aside before we begin: post on the group blog from the 13th! It's an overly-technical, highly obscure ramble about a program for getting better looking 8-bit paletted images, and yet another thing I found interesting from the PageMill CD-ROM. Just figured I'd mention that before we get started. I gotta get better at letting folks everywhere know what I've been up to.) So for well over ten years now, I've been putting off selling my games. The flipside to my dash over the past two years Read more
